Google has confirmed that they are indeed testing a new tab format for sitelinks. What began as a speculation on the Warrior Forum has been now been verified by the search engine company. This is the image of the sitelinks in their tab form:

Google Testing Categorized Sitelinks Tabs!

As you can see in the image, the tabs are by category of “top links”, “Warrior’s special offer forum”, “warriors for hire” and “more”. These Tab Sitelinks seem to beneficial from SEO point of view because they can give insights on how Google breaks down a site into these categories and how does the search engine categorize a site’s top pages.

However, the first impression of the tab sitelinks view is overwhelming to the eye. Search results seem a lot cluttered- too much to take in. What do you think of this experiment? Do share your views.
