You will now see bold color visualizations in the Google Trends. The reason being, newly introduced "spirit of the times" Top Charts feature that will display over 40 categories of Top 10 lists of people, places, and things, on the basis of the search interest.

The news was revealed in the new post of Google's Official Blog. The trend of Top Charts began in 2004 and will continue to up updated monthly. The link for Top Charts is present on the left side of the Google Trends homepage.

Google has also stated that Top Charts will display most accurate search volume rankings that will be unaffected by algorithm. So, we can assume that anomalies in the data will be rare to spot.

The colorful visualization of trending topics in real-time is also added to Google Trends. When you will click on the "Visualize Hot Searches in full-screen" link on the homepage of Google Trends, users will view Hot Searches one-by-one in bold colors. They can also click on the small box icon on top left corner of the screen to see up to 25 top real-time searches.

Another update to Google Trends is a more robust homepage that will display more upfront information and a search box that will be present on the top of site all the times.
