Recently Google announced alerts for crawl errors in Webmaster Tools. And now as spotted by Barry Schwartz of SEO Roundtable crawl error reports have previews added to them.
It works when one logins to Google Webmaster Tools, and keeps the cursor on one of the URLs listed in the crawl errors reports, a preview pop ups.
This new feature of Webmaster Tools has been in discussion on the WebmasterWorld forum too. As of now, Google has not made any announcements regarding the feature and initial discussions reveal that the preview works best with soft 404s.
