Google has redesigned the Google Webmasters Tools interface. The new interface will make things really easier for the webmasters managing multiple sites, highlighting the health problems of your sites.
The New Interface:
The new Webmasters Tool interface lets the webmasters know immediately what is wrong with their site. There is a major focus on the site's health and usability. As is clear from the following screen shots-
The dashboard of the Google Webmasters Tool now shows the sites you own, as thumbnails. Notice the notifications beside each thumbnail. They are like:
“Several Health Issues found on your site” And once you click on “Check Site Health” you will get a detailed view of what is wrong with your site- the categories listed are:
- Malware Detected
- Important Pages Removed
- Robots.txt blocking pages
These notifications about the site's health and the errors that need to be fixed, are quite handy in allowing webmasters to react promptly and accordingly.
The notifications also inform you of the recent changes you’ve made to the site from within webmasters tools. In case there is no error, the notification says- “Nothing To report.”
The upgrade will be welcomed by most webmasters as it has really sped up the process of find and rectifying the errors on the sites.
