Throughout this week the Google Webmasters team will be offering some great tips around reconsideration requests on their Google+ page. Google is calling it the week of #GoogleRecon. Here’s the second tip of the week:
If your site gets hit by a manual action, you should use the resources provided by Google to understand what are the issues faced by your site and what is it you can do to resolve them.
Google said on Google+ that these resources will help you understand why the manual action has been taken on your site and what part of your site is affected. The resources include:
- Google Help Center: Read about the manual actions in the Help Center. http://goo.gl/w9WdpQ
- Google Webmasters Videos: Watch Google Webmasters YouTube videos on reconsideration requests. http://goo.gl/3N7HZe
- Webmaster Central Help Forum: Ask for help in the Help Forum and Google webmasters, top contributors and Google employees will answer your questions. http://goo.gl/bl3NzR
- Google Hangout: Get live help in an office hour hangout posted in Google Webmasters official Google+ page. https://plus.google.com/+GoogleWebmasters/posts
The first tip that Google offered on reconsideration requests was “In Webmaster Tools, check the manual actions page and the message center to see if there are manual actions applied to your site.” Stay tuned for more tips by Google on reconsideration requests.#GoogleRecon Day 2: Resources to Understand Manual Actions!,
