Google is known for encouraging fun activities on April 1 all these years. Their teams across the world have come up with so many hoaxes this year that it is just not possible to list all of them here.
Here is a look on some of the antics.
Google has launched Gmail Shelfie to free the selfies. It is built on the idea of sharing the perfect image of yourself with others – mom, aunt or a special friend. They can check, read and write emails while seeing your image in the background. For upgrading to a Shelfie! You just need to open or refresh Gmail on the desktop and share it with friends. Enable the "Trending Shelfies" Gmail theme to enjoy some funny Shelfies.
Google Maps will help people become the Pokémon Maste. Dozens of wild Pokémon are up there on streets and atop mountains. For finding them, you just need to get the Poké Ball and the newest version of Google Maps for iPhone or Android. As you try to find the Pokémon, leave no place unzoomed. To begin the search, tap the search bar and ‘press start’.
Auto Awesome Photobombs
Google has introduced Auto Awesome Photobombs, enabling people to get a celebrity photobomb. Presence of David Hasselhoff, favorite crime-fighting rockstar lifeguard of the people, will make the photos awesome. You just need to upload a new self-portrait, or a group phot, while leaving some room for The Hoff. He will move in adding zing to the photo.
Nest, the new acquisition of Google, has come up with a gag about a partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airlines. Thanks to the Nest device on the Virgin’s jets, passengers are able to set their own temperature preferences while flying!
Look at the joke of Waze, another recent Google acquisition. They have pushed out a service WazeDates that helps people ‘navigate to love faster’ when they spot an attractive person while driving. Doesn’t it sound like a Google Glass app just waiting to happen?
