Google’s prominent team members- Matt Cutts and John Mueller both took up the issues of penalties issued on PageRanks for selling links. After a long time we have seen Google put out a view on these violations, but there is nothing new in what they have to say. Matt Cutts, Google’s distinguished engineer wrote about it in his blog. Matt shared an email he sent to a newspaper explaining that their PageRank went down because they were selling links and this made Google “lose its trust” in the site.
