Instagram has announced that a small and selected group of advertisers will start introducing brand-oriented high quality ads into the news feeds. Images & videos will be a medium of advertising.

Here's the list of the selected advertisers:

The advertisers were chosen on the basis of how elegantly or innovatively they are using the application to their services & products. With the advancement, Instagram is hoping to set high quality standards with its ads.

Instagram team said, "Our aim is to make any advertisements you see feel as natural to Instagram as the photos and videos many of you already enjoy from your favorite brands. After all, our team doesn’t just build Instagram, we use it each and every day. We want these ads to be enjoyable and creative in much the same way you see engaging, high-quality ads when you flip through your favorite magazine".

Instagram will gradually involve new advertisers into the program, after evaluating the user feedback and reactions.
