Maile Ohye tells how to improve the understanding of ones site on Official Google Webmaster Central blog. Maile talks about various ways of taking the most out of the webmaster tools.

Maile says while giving a tip, “The common words feature lists in order of priority (from highest to lowest) the prevalent words we've found in your site, and in links to your site. (This information isn't available for subdirectories or subdomains.)”

According to Maile it would do good to first determine the main concept. Further explained, “Verify that Google detected the same phrases you believe are of high importance. Login to webmaster tools, select your verified site, and choose Page analysis from the Statistics tab. Here, under 'Common words in your site's content,' we list the phrases detected from your site's content in order of prevalence.”

One important thing to take note of is that if the content on a site is updated, then Google takes some time to recognize changes, it would be important to notify the changes at the earliest. This simple compilation of SEO hints seems to be very useful, especially for beginners. More detailed tips are available on the the Official Google Webmaster Central blog.

This is a very good tool to use. On one of my sites I found that some no value placement words had the highest reoccurance.

I ended up replacing them all with small images, and using alt tags to give to add some keywords.

I would have never guessed this problem existed with out the Google tool.
