Google's co-founder Larry Page will be marrying his long time girlfriend Lucy Southworth this weekend on 8th December. The wedding will take place on Necker Island, in the Caribbean. It is Larry's best man, Richard Branson who owns the island. Some 600 guests will attend the wedding. Earlier this year, Larry's partner, Sergey Brin got married to Anne Wojcicki.
Till now, Larry Page is the most eligible bachelor in America. As the weeding date is approaching fast, the planners are having a logistical nightmare. They have to fly in some 600 guests on private planes and find deluxe hotel rooms for all the bigwigs. For the last six months, work is going on to make the wedding the most successful one.
To make the wedding a completely private affair, the whole of the neighboring island of Virgin Gorda is taken on rent.
Amongst the high profile wedding list, Bono, the globe-trotting U2 frontman, is the most prominent guest. The list also includes Forbes 400 billionaires, Silicon Valley visionaries and friends from Stanford, whom Larry Page met in the computer science Ph.D. program.
