Microsoft and Local Corporation have entered into a deal, wherein the latter's Krillon local product data will be given to Bing to be displayed in the Search Results. Local Corp. will be supplying the in-stock product data of national-local retailers.

The participating retailers include:

  • Wal-Mart
  • BestBuy
  • Costco
  • Express
  • Fry's
  • Home Depot
  • Orchard Supply
  • Kmart
  • Lowe's
  • Nordstrom
  • Office Depot
  • Rite Aid
  • Radio Shack
  • Staples
  • Sears
  • True Value

It has been told that all the indexed products from these retail stores (not sure if this includes all in-store inventory) will also be available on Bing.

Krillion, the local product inventory provider was bought by Local Corp. in 2011. Bill Hankes of Bing said, "We think the addition of’s product data can help consumers by letting them know which brands and categories are in stores. The inclusion of this data, however, does not change the way in which Bing ranks results based on relevance".
