When Google rolled out the Panda 4.0 update last week, there were several speculations regarding the nature of the update. But now things are clearer after the final tip-off came directly from the horse’s mouth. Matt Cutts, Google’s head of Search Spam confirmed in a tweet, the new Panda update is softer and gentler for some sites but it does lay the groundwork to future changes in this direction.
In response to a question posted on Twitter by Marie Haynes, Matt tweeted:
“Think of it like P4 is a new architecture. Brings in some of the softer side, but also lays groundwork for future iteration.”
Panda 4.0 is a big update to the algorithm was already obvious and Cutts’s tweet comes as a confirmation to the same. The update will impact 7.5% of English queries alone was enough to keep the point, but it is always good to hear it from Cutts himself.Matt Cutts Confirms Panda 4.0 is Softer and Gentler, but Lays the Groundwork for Future Changes!,
