  • Microsoft Applies Another Update to Live Product Search- MSN on the Fastrack!..

    Another critical update has been patched into its Live Search Products Service. the users would now be able to perform research and find suitable deals on the products displayed within Live Search. Microsoft's new update also gives the flexibility of refining products depending upon various factors such as user opinions, brand, prices and categories. The users will also be able to sort results by best user, expert ratings and prices.

  • Yahoo! Releases 'SearchScan'(BETA)- Makes Browsing Safer!

    Yahoo! in partnership with McAfee has announced the release of SearchScan. It will show those URLs in the Yahoo! SERPs (search engine result pages) that are deemed 'risky'. This feature will incorporate McAfee's SiteAdvisor technology. The goal of this feature is to safeguard the user against spyware and other malicious software from being downloaded on his computers. It would also assist users to prevent themselves from spammy email practices.

  • Google Custom Search now Explores Google AdSense for Search!

    Two years ago, Google had launched its Custom Search Engine that enabled publishers and users to create custom search indexes that would target their website visitors' search requests. Google has now enabled custom search to expand and reach out to Google AdSense for search. The Custom Search Engine fusion within Adsense for Search will also help SiteMaps provide better coverage for the CSE.

  • Google AdWords and Google AdSense Problems still Persistent, even after 24 Hours!

    There have been numerous reports that Google has been quite slow in updating its Google AdWords and Google AdSense reports and thus these reports are generating wrong data. A post on Webmaster World by an AdSense Advisor states, "Thanks for your comments and your patience, and apologies for the delay. Our engineering team is working to address this issue as soon as possible. Please be assured that your account statistics have still been tracked, and we are working on displaying them in your account. I will be sure to post with any additional updates"

  • Yahoo! Launches 'Glue Pages' in Yahoo! India- Can it really Glue Indian Audience?

    Yahoo! has announced the launch of Yahoo! Glue Pages in Yahoo! India. This feature will display pages that are embedded with enhanced visual search result page for selective search queries. Search queries entered for categories such as health, sports, entertainment, travel, technology and finance will automatically trigger special 'Glue Pages'.

  • Yahoo! Shares take a Dramatic Plunge as Microsoft withdraws Bid!

    Barely 48 hours had passed since the Microsoft withdrawal, when Yahoo's shares took a steep dive and took a massive fall of 15%. This drop was more than enough to negate nearly half of the gain that Yahoo Inc. had recorded since Microsoft's initial bid on January 31st 2008. Yahoo's market value has crumbled down by almost $14 billion compared to Microsoft's final bid of $47.5 billion. During Microsoft-Yahoo! negotiations, Yahoo's shares were close to $28.67 a share. After Microsoft's withdrawal, Yahoo! shares took a hit of $4.30 per share and closed at $24.37 a share at the closing of Monday's trading session. Microsoft's shares had a minor decline of 16 cents or 0.6% closing at $29.08.
