ZDNet informs that Akram Hussein, a Microsoft Windows Live Platform program manager 'posted details about planned changes to Microsoft's Live Search, ahead of an event next week where the company was slated to unveil the changes to reporters.'

This much is clear that the update version of Live will have 'searches for digital cameras, showing not just product details, but also reviews'. Hussein wrote about, "You can preview videos online by moving your mouse over any video and it will play a preview of the video right away no delays! Isn't this amazing, at least now you can preview the video before really going and trying to view it, and make sure this is the one you want."

The blog later was pulled out with Hussein leaving an apology note that read:

“Just to notify everyone I apologize for the information it seems they are still in beta and it was like a test roll out so I am pulling off the blog post.”

Amanda Watlington writes:-

"Overall there will be more search results found. Do note that more search results do not necessarily translate to more relevant search results. That is to be seen as more users come in contact with this new version of Live Search 2.0. For search marketers, this is yet another example of why it is important to optimize all types of Web files – images, news, video, and audio."
