Not surprisingly, once again Microsoft plans to launch a new search engine. Hopefully, this time Microsoft would be able to overturn search giant Google. It would be interesting to see what will happen next. Most probably, new search engine will be launched in next six months across the USA, Britain and then Europe.

This time it seems that Microsoft is more confident with some new plans. This has been said during Holloway Reuters Global Technology, Media and Telecoms Summit that “What we’re saying is that in six months’ time we’ll be more relevant in the U.S. market place than Google. The quality of our search and the relevance of our search from a solution perspective to the consumer will be more relevant.”

If it happens, then certainly some major changes will follow in the world of search engine. Though Microsoft has some suitable options. Hopefully, its earlier search engine MSN can be integrated with MSN Hotmail, Messenger, Windows Live, MSN Spaces and the new Windows Vista.

Most probably, this new search engine would bring some alteration in the current algorithm, ranking system and results documents of MSN Search. These measures would be taken to make it more compatible and precise. Nick Farrell at the Inquirer says “The new search engine will go beyond finding URLs and instead focus on the specific information sought by Internet users.”  Want to read more then view The Inquirer.
