Microsoft’s ad campaign to promote Bing took an interesting turn on The Daily Show, were it introduced its new campaign called “Fast Forward.” It is believed that Microsoft is paying for several minutes of commercial time, only to air its ad in place of several other ads.

It is somewhat difficult to describe the ad that was aired on The Daily Show, and Microsoft has yet to make it available publicly. The ad begins with a Snuggie commercial, but after a few seconds the video fast-forwards through the Snuggie spot and other commercial. At last, the audio goes mute and a message is shown on two slides:

“Getting You What You Want Faster / It’s What We’re All About”

The moment the ad ends, the regular program resumes. So, if you're watching the Show, there's almost no way that you're going to miss this commercial because it looks like your TV has suddenly zap through the commercials without any help.

The ad is expected to be aired on other cable network on the following days:

  • June 12: CMT’s Top 20 Countdown
  • June 14: Nick@Nite’s George Lopez
  • June 15: VH1’s Charm School with Ricki Lake
  • June 17: MTV’s Real World/Road Rules Challenges: The Duel 2
