It seems that Microsoft Small Business Directory has been closed. Matt McGee reports that when you go to the Add your site page and click on the required link it takes to another page which says:
As of November 15, 2006 Microsoft will no longer accept new sign-ups for select Microsoft Online Small Business Services.
These services, previously marketed under the bCentral™ brand, include Appointment Manager, Banner Network Ads, Commerce Manager, Customer Manager, FastCounter Pro, List Builder, Sales Leads, SharePoint®, Submit it!, Traffic Builder, and Web Hosting Packages.
Matt points out that none of the Microsoft's other business web services offer a directory listing. So far there has been no official explanation or clarification of things to come. Chances are the directory has been temporarily withheld from new users for as all old users can still access the service. We might be looking at some experimentation or addition of features as complete withdrawal of service will be absurd.

Hey Jerry – Mat Siltala here, it was good to meet you at PubCon (With Chris Bennett from 97thfloor.com) and I just wanted to let you know that I saw this happening a few weeks ago with the Directory. Right away I logged in to make sure I could still manage my listings and I can. There is a feature to add more sites, but I have not tried that yet and am not sure if it works or not. So for now….good for us that have access to it, bad for any future users. This would be the dumbest thing Microsoft could do to this directory if they kept it closed. I would be curious if anyone has some inside info as to why this is happening? Anyway it was good to hang out with you at PubCon and get to know you better!
