The idea behind this latest offer is to attract more traffic to MSN search engine. According to, MSN Search and Win, "Simply search with MSN, click the Search and Win link in the results, and you could instantly win one of many fabulous prizes."
You can win any of the prizes from the list which includes, a one-year Netflix subscription; gift certificates at Starbucks, magazine subscriptions; Blockbuster and Barnes and Noble, among others; a Canon digital camera; a Panasonic plasma high-definition TV; a home office makeover; hotel stays; and a cash award to the charity of choice.
This is another very good effort by MSN which satisfies its dual purpose, to provide good search results which consequently increase the traffic. Other search engines including Yahoo! are also considering offering incentives to get more traffic.
