Here's all that happened in the world of search engines in the fourth week of November. All the blogs are all in chronological order. Enjoy!

  • AdSense Godfather Is Latest To Join List Of Google Exodus! Google Product Manager who helped the No. 1 search engine giant launch AdSense quit the company. I've been having the itch to do something entrepreneurial for awhile now. I'm in my early 30s and I have some experience and financial security, so the time felt right. I have some ideas on the consumer Internet side. I'm still trying to flesh that out in the next few weeks. Right now, I'm just trying to get used to not going to work."
  • AdSense Video Units Hits UK, Ireland & Canada; Plus, AOL Rolls Out Video Ticker.

AOL's VIDEO TICKER ADS: AOL's video ticker ad is a graphic banner ad that is integrated within a streaming video, but without obstructing the video viewing experience. When clicked on by a consumer, the ticker expands to launch a video ad, or an interactive Flash ad, within the video player window. These ads will run across the AOL Network of premium video content within the newest version of the AOL Video media player platform.

GOOGLE VIDEO UNITS HITS THE UK, IRELAND AND CANADA: "With this new launch, publishers in the UK, Ireland and Canada will be able to show videos from our YouTube content partners and choose those videos by category, individual YouTube partner, or have video automatically targeted to their site. Based on publisher feedback, we've also just added a feature which lets you choose individual videos to be displayed in your video units."

  • Googlepedia? Google To Let Users Tweak Its Local Map Service. "Users now can move home and business address markers if signed in to a Google account, the company said in a written statement. Google also plans to allow them to add new points of interest and change business information at a later date."
