You must have time and again appreciated articles in the third largest newspaper in the U.S. – The New York Times. Would you like to see those articles on social networks? The newspaper has a "Share" dropdown box with which you
can submit the articles to three social networks" Digg, Newsvine, and Facebook. A permalink button allows users to refer to the articles in blogs and other social media.

The new feature will help NY Times to reach out to the readers who do not read news websites directly. NY Times would also be able to tap a tech-savvy audience. The sharing feature would not be used on: TimesSelect stories, staff blogs, wire stories and even for premium content offering.

Newsvine Chief Executive Mike Davidson said, "It is one of the world's most established newspapers and we have a great amount of respect for them, so the prospect of helping their audience get more out of their news and helping The
Times doing some of the new things that they are looking at doing is very good for us. We look at it as the beginning of, perhaps, a more meaningful relationship."
