Yahoo! had started the transfer of the back – end technology of its search to the Microsoft Platform, in the US and Canada, last week.

“Keep an eye out for the “Powered by Bing” indicator at the bottom of our search results page, which will indicate that you are viewing listings from Microsoft.” , said the official Yahoo! Blog.

The wait is over and we can spot the “Powered by Bing” indicator. All Yahoo! Search results in the US and Canada will now be powered by Bing.

“Yahoo! Web, Image, and Video search experiences on both desktop and mobile devices are now powered by the Microsoft platform in the US and Canada (English), with more markets to come.”, said Shashi Seth, Senior VP.

Adding some more official flavour from Microsoft's end was VP, Satya Nadella's statement “We continue to work hard on the migration to adCenter, and are optimistic about completing this phase later this fall. As we have said all along, our primary goal is to provide advertisers with a quality transition experience in 2010, while being mindful of the holiday season.”

Two of the big threes have joined hands with the hope of providing some stiff competition to Google.
After this transition, Yahoo! Search Boss Program will be the next big thing, on which Yahoo! Is currently finalizing its revenue model.
