Pinterest has announced the release of a newly redesigned mobile site, which has a cleaner design and features that users would find on the web or within the Pinterest's mobile app.

According to Pinterest, the mobile redesign is the result of the continuous growth of the site at international level. TechCrunch however reports that the primary reason is Pinterest's influx of mobile traffic, as 75 percent of the daily Pinterest traffic comes from native mobile application.

The new mobile site has an updated board page, sign-up flow, and also displays recent boards in the board picker. Pinterest says its Android and iOS apps are faster ways to access the website, but the new mobile site is a great alternative. We can expect more mobile updates to roll-out in the coming months.
