Bing conducted a study to find out which US cities wake up earliest, based on the time they get online, and concluded that San Francisco beats all other cities to get up earliest at 6:43 AM while New York starts the day at 7:32 AM.
The study also said that people tend to wake up early as the week goes on. The data was derived after examining the time at which Bing received 50% of daily peak traffic from each metropolitan in their local time zones. The 25 cities follow the same general curve across all seven days of the week. Although the patterns were approximately similar for all the cities during all seven days of the week, there was a gap of 43 minute between the early risers and the late risers.
Based on this data, Bing concluded that the city to wake up earliest is San Francisco, achieving 50% of traffic at 6:43AM and the city to wake up latest is New York, reaching 50% of peak traffic at 7:32 AM, 43 minutes later than the former.
Interestingly, the average wake up time gets on improving as the week goes on, and by Friday, all US cities wake up 22 minutes earlier than on Monday.San Francisco Starts its Day the Earliest Compared to All Other US Cities, suggests Bing Study!,
