It has been officially announced by Google that its Google Book Search is now geared up with scans from magazines such as Ebony, New York Magazine, Men’s Health, Popular Science and Popular Mechanics.

Want to know more about baseball fan, then try this sample search, and you can view the pages of an issue of Ebony from 1973! You can read the article in its original form and in its original context, just in the same way as you would have read it in a printed magazine
Google says, “Over time, as we scan more articles, you’ll see more and more magazines appear in Google Book Search results. Eventually, we’ll also begin blending magazine results into our main Google.com search results, so you may begin finding magazines you didn’t even know you were looking for.â€
Great for all the magazines lovers out there!

That’s nice touch. If only there was a full text search for all magazine…those darn copyright laws keep getting in the way. (http://books.google.com/googlebooks/agreement/ in case anyone is interested.) But this can be very useful for researching historical information. Glad to see it.
