It was not long ago, when Google making the new "Did You Mean" feature a standard, was reported.

“This approach gets users to the results they wanted faster. Showing the results of the original query accounts for cases when query correction was undesired,” said Johanna Wright, director of product management at Google.

But now the scenario is entirely different! A lot of people are complaining that they are facing major problems due to this! For a lot of e-commerce sites and this new enhancement is resulting in Google dropping their rankings.

Google-Did You Mean Feature

According to a webmaster in the Google Webmaster Help forum, his site went down to a much lower position! He said that a search for ecotrimmer returns this "did you mean" feature

“The problem is, right above the search results has "Did you mean Echo Trimmer"?”
