Vince Blackham talked on how you can utilize Pinterest for content strategy. Referring to the social medial traffic trends, Vince explained that while the graph of Twitter and StumbleUpon has remained constant, Facebook & Pinterest have shown significant growth. This shows that visual content is the king & data obviously sucks on Pinterest. Sharing strategies to promote content on Pinterest, Vince asked marketers to come up with large, attention grabbing titles, step-by-step instructions in smaller text with images, and 1800px images to get themselves above other stuff.
Pinterest can get you dozens of natural backlinks, so don't be afraid to include your products in your content. Planning months and holidays in advance works well on Pinterest. The session also taught attendees on how to measure the Pinterest activity and conversions of their site for maximum effect.
