The session discussed how social media can further a press agenda, amplifying the message of the enterprise. It was addressed by three speakers.

The speakers talked how social media can propel a news item. Using an iPhone, a graphic can be shared on Mashable, leading to HuffPost and then to Gizmoto. One can follow three-pronged strategy – Outreaching to influencers (bloggers, publications, social celebrities), Teaming up with companies having lots of fans and piggy back on something of genuine public interest inviting the press. Give people something to talk about, or make them aware of something. Your job is done.
