As a leading search company, Google believes in developing scalable solutions to problems. Google says, that it has always tried to be prompt in answering to the queries, put forward by Webmasters. According to Google, Webmaster Tools were actually developed to provide relevant information to Websmasters about their own sites, so that, they could themselves handle issues related to the sites.

Google says, it tries to help site owners with their queries on various platforms like help forums, blogs, articles, and industry events. It believes that there are many areas, where their as well as site owners' interests converge. This actually gives them an opportunity to understand the problems in a better way and thus helping them to come up with effective solutions. They firmly believe that people can get the answer to their queries quickly, if they follow few tips given by them. They are:

  • Ask publicly – Google recommends people to post their questions on public forums. This is because, it allows Google to answer to the questions there itself. The benefit it gives is that, the same post might be useful to someone, who has the same query. “We have a very strong preference for answering questions publicly (in a forum, on a blog, at a conference, in a video…) so that many people can benefit from the answer” says Google.

  • Do thorough research – According to Google, a lot of effort goes behind in producing the content for their articles, blog posts and FAQs to educate people about search and site-building. Thus, they strongly advise people to search their Help Center, blog and help forum for answers before making a query to them. The answers to the most of the questions asked by people are generally available at the Help Center. So, if someone is not satisfied with answer, the person can post the question on a forum, sighting the resources, where the answer could not be found. This would help Google to update their documents with the missing details on the said matter.

  • Try to be specific – Google says, it is important to ask specific questions rather than vague ones. The more details an user can give, the more detailed and relevant answer Google will be able to provide.

  • Ask question that may relevant to others as well – Google advises people to ask questions that would be relevant and helpful to other users as well. This will allow Google to help many people at a time.

  • Stay with the topic – Google explains that, it is important people to understand that not every Googler is familiar with every product, that Google offers. So, if someone has a query related to say Google Analytics will get the answer only from the Analytics team. Seeking help from other teams like iGoogle or WebSearch for that particular query, will not bear any result.

  • Stay calm – Google advises people that, in order to get help from others, one needs to be calm to explain the situation, sighting details, and by being clear about the exact requirement.

  • Every information is vital – Google says, there are times when people get disgruntled, when they are not satisfied with the answer provided. However, it merely does not mean that the answer is wrong. There are many areas of SEO and website design, that are quite diverse and giving a conclusive answer on them is not always possible. Though every bit of information provided by Google is geared to help people in a better and effective manner.

Finally, Google also points, that their Webmaster Help Forums are available in 18 languages excluding English, for people who are not so comfortable with the English language
