Google posted today, that it had made it possible to share Google Maps across devices. Maps on the desktop can now be synced with their cellphones. A signed in user will be able to see the available devices under the tag that reads ‘Send to Device’. A push notification appears on the mobile once a place is sent to it. Both iPhone and Android users should be able to access this new feature, until and unless their Maps are not set to ‘lite mode’.
The help document from the company states that the new update should have no glitches if the user has the updated version of Google Maps, if both devices have signed into the same account, enabled new notifications in their settings and have a strong Wi-Fi connectivity. However, comments beneath the post show a number of users were not able to sync their devices. SEW reporters do not have this feature working for them, as of yet.
