Users of Google data highlighter tool can now easily troubleshoot their problems. Google has come up with a troubleshooting guide that provides step-by-step solutions of frequently asked questions of the webmasters. This was announced by Pierre Far, a Googler.

Users face troubles while creating or publishing a page set, which they can tide over using the guide.  If you get ‘URL not found’ error when entering the starting URL, an error message is displayed when trying to create a custom page set or Data Highlighter just refuses to understand your site, referring to troubleshooting guide may help.

Data Highlighter is a point and click tool that gives you the ability to tag key pieces of data on your site in Google Webmaster Tools. It is a useful tool, yet not perfect and you may have problems when creating or publishing a page. However, troubleshooting guide will help you get over these.
