Twitter has made the conversion tracking capabilities available globally to users. It will give advertisers a better insight into how a Twitter ad is driving conversion action on the website.
The conversion tracking tag works by capturing the impact of users:
- Engaged with Promoted Tweets
- Who viewed a Promoted Tweet (often referred as view-through conversion)
Along with clicks, the engagement attribution will include:
- Tweet expands
The attribution window for post-engagement and post-view conversions can easily be adjusted by the advertisers.
Several advertisers have been involved in testing the conversion tracking for the past few months and Twitter says that retailers were able to generate conversion with CPA, which was 65 percent lower than the target.
