Now searching for a tweet that you posted several years back is easier. You don't have to browse through thousands of pages of tweets to reach the desired one. Twitter has added the date range fields in its Advanced Search page to allow users filter their search on the basis of a particular time period.

This means that although tweets are displayed in the reverse chronological order, you can now narrow down your search by a specific date range. Although users could do all this earlier too, but the process was very painstaking and not user friendly at all. For this you had to manually add the arcane coding of “since:” and “until:” operators to your search box.

Users have been much anticipating this feature since the time Twitter first showed up in 2006. With a series of updates rolled out by the micro blogging site in the recent past, it seems Twitter is in full swing to drive more traffic and boost its followers. So, the next time you are searching for a tweet that you posted around Christmas or the New Year, you will have no trouble looking for one.
