Twitter has brought in a new tool that makes it possible for the users to embed timelines. Twitter announced that they have planned to bring in a new tool which will allow users to embed entire timeline of tweets on web pages.

Twitter said, “These new timeline tools are built specifically for the web, mobile web, and touch devices. They load fast, scale with your traffic, and update in real-time. Create your own embedded timeline from your widgets settings page on You can embed a timeline for Tweets from an individual user, a user’s favorites, Twitter lists, or any search query or hashtag.” This is an example embed code given by Twitter:

These websites with embedded Twitter timelines will allow you to expand Tweets, reply, retweet, follow users and do much more from the same page directly. These embeddable timelines are available in light and dark themes one can pick from to suit their site’s backdrop. Twitter adds, “You may list up to 5 domains per timeline, and also use wildcards to indicate that you’ll be running on multiple subdomains. (e.g.,,, * ).”  The tool will allow webmasters to add an interactive bit of Twitter on their sites and enjoy a conversation with their visitors.
