Facebook is testing Snooze button in the US. The option will mute people and pages if you don’t want updates from them, instead unfollowing them. The feature s currently being tested in the US.

The feature appears when you click on the drop down next to the name of a person, page or, group.

Don't

You can snooze a person, page, or group for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. The person or page you mute will not know about it. The feature works anonymously. Instead of unfollowing someone indefinitely, it seems to be a better option to snooze them for a certain time period and then begin following them.

A Facebook spokesperson confirmed with TechCrunch that the Snooze feature is being tested:

“We’re testing new ways to give people control over their News Feeds so they can stay connected with the stories they find most relevant.”

Snooze seems to be a good way to avoid all noise from a friend who is a little too active on social media platform.
