Vine, the video app owned by Twitter has been updated and now includes loop counts to display the number of times a video has been viewed on the network. The loop counts are visible on the web as well as on the updated apps in iOS and Android released yesterday. For people who don't know, Vine lets users share six second videos in a feed similar to Instagram. Users can like and comment on the videos as well.
Now you can easily and quickly come to know how popular your video is based on the number of times people watch a Vine loop. The number keeps on updating in real time. So you can know how many people are watching a video at the same time as you.
Redesigned Home Feed
In addition to the update, the feeds in the Android and iPhone apps will now feature a new design, with bigger edge-to-edge videos and a better view of likes and comments.
Activity Feed Revamp
The Activity feed has also been revamped to make it easier for users to know what exactly is happening on their Vines. Along with the separation between New and Older Activity, users will also get a notification when their Vines surpass milestones, for e.g., 25 or 100 likes.
Users may also notice that some Vines show a “+” next to the loop count. Vine started tracking loop counts on April 3, 2014. Vines that were created on or before this date will include the plus sign besides the loop count, showing that the actual number may be higher.Vine Introduces Loop Count to Track How Many Times Users Played your Video!,
