Webmasters can now refer to the published set of Bing’s webmaster guidelines to plan their SEO strategies in line with what the search engine recommends. Bing announced the roll out of these guidelines saying that they can be accessed in the Help section of Bing’s Webmaster Tools. You can see them under a new section called: “Content Guidelines.”
These guidelines will focus on these major sections and offer technical insights on advanced SEO and other website issues:
- Technical SEO
- Social Media
- Content
- Links
- Things to Avoid
You will notice that these set of guidelines are not as exhaustive as Google's, a fact Bing acknowledges itself:
“They are not exhaustive and you should not expect to find deep, technical answers in them. They are intended to help most business owners understand the broad strokes of search marketing.”
Bing also announced that they will be conducting six free webmaster webinars in the coming year and will cover issues like Authority Building, SEO 101 and more.
