Earlier this year, Google adopted the on-line processing system, Writely. Now it decides to go one step further into becoming a member of the Google Borg. But for this, they need their user base to make the switch from their old Writey user login to that of Google Account. The Google Account program is a unified username and password login which spreads over Google News, Personalized Google Search, AdWords, AdWords and Google Checkout among other Google Services.
An email was sent out to Writely users saying:
“In a few days, we will update your Writely account to use your ________ Google Account registration settings. This means you’ll need to use your Google Account password when signing in, not your Writely password (if they’re different).
If you’ve forgotten your Google Account password, just go to https://www.google.com/accounts/ForgotPasswd”
