Jeff Bonforte, senior director of real-time communications at Yahoo! slams Google saying poor usability is the main reason behind the limited adoption of Google's services such as Gmail and Google Talk. This news has been reported by Vnunet.

In a meeting Bonforte said, “[Google] definitely is lacking in usability. They don't have this intimate connection in usability with consumers that Yahoo has had for 10 years. When it comes to consumer applications, no-one is more successful than Yahoo hands down. And it happens over and over and over again. In every application, we are number one or two.”

There are a lot of other things that Bonforte argued that Google is incompetent in which includes the messenger and the mail. According to him, the only areas where Google has been able to target users is in Search and online maps.

This outburst by Bonforte is discussed in a thread started at WebmastersWorld.
