There is a very interesting revelation from the report released by Nielsen//Netratings on the market share of search engines for December, 2006. The report indicates that Yahoo! is growing at a faster pace than Google. In December 2006 3.035 billion searches were done on Google, showing an increase of 22.6% from last year. This figure stands at 1.412 billion searches for Yahoo!, an increase by 30.1% from December 2005. In the last year Google got 560 million users more compared to 330 million users acquired by Yahoo!. However, if you see the data in terms of percentage of growth, Yahoo! is ahead of Google.
