Yahoo! has finalized a multi-year advertising deal with retail giant Walmart. With this deal, Walmart would be able to take advantage of Yahoo’s advertising platform and Yahoo would possess the exclusive rights for the display of Walmart's inventory.

According to the new deal, Yahoo! will engage its leading brand advertisers to Walmart.com that will serve as Walmart's primary marketing and sales channel for its video display and advertising. Yahoo! will also be responsible for Walmart's ad pricing, targeting, delivery and reporting through Yahoo's AMP (Advertising Management Platform). This will automatically make Walmart a user of Yahoo's AMP. Yahoo has also announced its multi-year Global Partnership with Havas Digital, where Havas will also be borrowing heavily on Yahoo's AMP.

According to Todd Teresi (Senior VP, Yahoo! Publisher Network), “This announcement builds on our strategy to be the partner of choice for leading brands looking to engage more customers with compelling offers online. By combining Walmart.com's leading position as a multi-channel retailer with our industry-leading display advertising sales and ad management technology and sales force, we will be able to provide advertisers with the easiest, most effective way to deliver targeted, relevant marketing messages to Walmart.com shoppers.”
