Yahoo! has announced a brand new look for its search results. The new design has the navigation bar at the top just like Google and search results appearing higher on the page. The design is in sync with the new Yahoo! homepage.
Navigation bar at the top of the page helps users easily browse other Yahoo! sites. Yahoo! plans to introduce the navigation bar across more Yahoo! properties as well. The search results appear faster as well.
Yahoo! is focused on providing a search experience that goes visually better and better. It reflects the vision of Marissa Mayer, now Yahoo! CEO and ex Google VP Search Products & User Experience.
The redesign will have no bearing on the organic search results and it is limited only to the appearance. However, Mayer was reported not being happy about the Microsoft search deal, primarily because Yahoo! and Bing have only been able to swap search engine market share and failed to expand themselves into Google’s. As per comScore data, Yahoo! has 12% of the US search market share.Yahoo! Search Results Get a Makeover!,
