Yahoo Web Analytics

According to Yahoo! Search Marketing Blog:

“Yahoo! Web Analytics offers user insight that you’re not likely to find in other free analytics tools, including demographic and behavioral insight on your website visitors, near-real-time reporting, and visibility into as many as 50 different types of actions that take place on your site.”

This option is only available to Yahoo advertisers that work along with an account manager. However, large advertisers with complex advertising requirements are most suited for this option.

Following are some of its benefits:

  • It offers customizable reports, dashboards, alerts and segmentation tools, which will allow advertisers to improve their ads, campaigns, keyword bids, and website design.
  • It helps advertisers to take advantage of demographic targeting options and locate their targeted audience.
  • It can track up to 15 steps of conversion process and help advertisers identify where they are most liable to loose.
  • It can keep track of ad campaign's performance in not juts Yahoo! Search Marketing but also on other search engines, display engines and email campaigns.

This is a great digital cockpit and in my opinion. Really detailed and very well organized.

For me Yahoo is committing the same mistake as with Yahoo mail. Giving it only to yahoo hosting/domains customers. Google instead is offering their mail / site statistics to any domain owner, getting access to a much bigger customer base.
