With every new year, Google has given us new tools, analytics and invaluable insights, to monitor and resolve technical website issues.

On an average, Google changes its algorithm at least once a day. However, recent updates have been more geared towards the new Search Console.

 

Google made an official announcement on the Google Webmaster blog that they will be depreciating some or all of the old Search Console features, so that they can focus more on the new Google Search Console.

 

Here are some of the upcoming changes:

 

  1. Depreciating Crawl Errors API,along with the removal of the old Crawl Errors Report (for desktop, smartphone, and side-wide errors).
  2. Replacing old Site Mapsreport with the new ones, making it easier to focus on URLs.
  3. Using the URL Inspection Tool to fetch ways to check & review URLs.
  4. Removing User Management feature. Google says, “use ‘Settings’in the new Search Console”.
  5. Eliminating Structured Data Dashboardfrom Google’s new Search Console.
  6. Cutting down HTMLSuggestions.
  7. Moving the relevant functionality of the Android Apps featureto the Firebase console.
  8. Removing Property Sets. (As of now there is no announced replacement for this feature)
  9. Google says that you will find blocked resourcesdirectly in the URL inspection tool.

 

Google stated that they are planning to makes these changes by the end of March, 2019.
