Matt Cutt, one of Google's most noted engineer and Head of Search Spam informed everyone about the upcoming updates in Google's Penguin algorithms, Google's Panda algorithms as well as the new link network targets. The update announcements were made during the SMX West panel 2013.

Matt informed that there will a huge Penguin update in this year and he feels that it will create lot more buzz than any other previous updates. The search quality team at Google is currently employing their energies on a significant Penguin algorithm update. The last Penguin update took place in October 2012. And prior to that the update took place in May 2012. And the Penguin algorithm was launched in April 2012. Lets wait and watch, another Penguin update, and that too a major one, will be huge for the SEO marketers.

Be Prepared For Upcoming Penguin, Panda & Link Networks Updates!

Matt also announced that there is going to be a Panda algorithm update on 16th March, this Friday. The 24th panda update happened on 22 January.

Matt Cutts also confirmed that Google targeted link networks a few weeks ago and said Google will target many more in 2013. As a matter of fact, Matt informed that they are going to announce another update in the coming weeks that specifically targets another network of links.
