Google has officially launched Google for Jobs in the US search results. Google had made this announcement at Google I/O last month. Now Google has made the official announcement in a blogpost.
“Starting today in English on desktop and mobile, when you search for “jobs near me,” “teaching jobs,” or similar job-seeking queries, you’ll see in-depth results that allow you to explore jobs from across the web.”
Google has teamed up with many organizations like LinkedIn Monster, WayUp, DirectEmployers, CareerBuilder, Glassdoor and Facebook to bring the most comprehensive listing of jobs. Users will see the job postings from these sites as soon as they are posted.
Whether it is an entry level job, or a senior management position post that you are looking for, Google jobs will show opportunities for everyone. For many jobs, reviews and ratings for the employers from trusted sites will also be shown, and for some you will be able to see the commute time as well. Google plans to add more filters and information in the future.
You may start looking for jobs on desktop or mobile by using keywords such as jobs near me, teaching jobs, hospitality jobs etc. You may turn on alerts to receive email notification whenever a job that matches your criteria is posted.
