Google Launches Speakable Markup for News Publishers with Interest in Google Assistant

Google has announced a new markup targeting eligible publishers who want to have their content within Google Assistant. The new markup, called speakable allows publishers to mark up those parts of an article which are important to be read aloud by Google Assistant and devices such as Google Home. The features of the markup are available for English language users who are based in the US. Google stated that it will launch capability in other languages and nations once a significant publishers implement speakable.

Facebook Upgrades Ad Manager App With Latest Creative Tools

Facebook has recently updated the Ads Manager app with a new range of creative tools, enabling advertisers to create ad content from their mobiles. Launched in 2015, the Ads Manager app is a mobile solution for developing and monitoring ads. Mordy Oberstein of RankRanger has shared a report stating that Google mobile search results have witnessed a phenomenal increase in the number of thumbnails. According to the data shared by RankRanger, there was a surge of 183% on July 13, 2018, from 15.7 percent of all first-page mobile search results having image thumbnails to 44.5%.
