DMOZ have announced on their home page that it’s closing. It is one of the oldest and most trusted open directory that has human editors to organize the websites. The notice of closing appeared on the home page of the website which says it will no longer be available from 14th March 2017.
DMOZ was launched on June 5, 1998 as GnuHoo and then was renamed NewHoo.
