Google has altered the length of posts which are published by Google My Business to 1500 characters. Earlier, length of Google My Business posts was based on words rather than characters. Google needed at least 100 words per post and a maximum of 300 words. But now there is probably no minimum length for Google My Business posts.

Usually, users will find that length of most posts has been shortened since 1500 characters roughly amount to 250 words. This will vary depending on the size of words which a person utilizes. Therefore users who earlier wrote posts which were at least 300 words will now get accustomed to writing posts which are shorter. Experts believe that this is a positive change since people who visit a GMB page look for less detailed information which they can absorb within a short span of time.

Google My Business is not the place where you can read articles. One of the major advantages of GMB posts is that they are visible in search results and Maps. Therefore it is essential to be concise for drawing the attention of individuals. The length of a post made on Twitter or Facebook is almost the same as the perfect length of a post made on Google My Business.
