Google has launched its annual list of top searches across the world. This list also includes overall searches and searches for different categories. The top queries signify routine questions as well as individuals and events which received major news coverage in 2018. Google specified that particular events made people search how to enhance their day to day lives.

For instance, the demise of well-known celebrities led to a surge of searches for “how to be a good role model.” In the same manner, after firefighters in Thailand rescued a soccer team from a cave, searches for ‘scuba diving lessons near me’ witnessed a rise of 110%.
