Moz has acquired STAT Search Analytics, a firm based in Vancouver, Canada. This is the newest takeover following the acquisition of a number of boutique firms by some of the leading names in the industry.

The significance of the takeover

For the last few years, Moz has made use of inbound marketing and SaaS subscriptions to emerge as an expert in the SEO tools domains. STAT Search Analytics is a company which offers ranking tracking and SERP analytics for digital marketing companies as well as businesses.

Sarah Bird, Moz’s CEO mentioned that both the companies offer highly valuable actionable data and insights for marketers. Combining STAT’s rankings and SERP analytics with Moz’s keyword and link research tools will enable both to set new benchmarks for organic search solutions.

In the last few months, a number of upgradations have been made on Moz’s data. After the launch of the new link index in April, the data which feeds Moz’ tools is 35 times tools is 35 times larger and 30 times fresher than before. Moz has also made notable improvements in its local UI with a new dashboard which has enhanced its business listing accuracy tool. STAT, on the other hand, is useful to SEOs not just for rank tracking but also for deep search analytics, competitive intelligence, and consumer research.

STAT CEO Rob Bucci stated that by joining together both Moz and STAT will be able to develop search solutions which will bring about a notable change in the industry.
